I'm planning a persian meal and, although I know that persian food is not traditionnally eaten with wine, I would like to pair it with something that works. 10-15$ per bottle ideally, preferably red wine.
Here's the menu:
Kashk e bademjan (eggplant purée) with persian bread
Fesenjan (pomegranate stew) with roasted chicken
Green beans with almonds
Ice cream with "persian" praline (pistachios and almonds caramelized and seasoned with saffron and other spices) - this is a "persiannized" dessert.
