I am taking my mom out on Friday for dinner(her b-day) and my sister and her new fiance are coming also. We are going to her favorite chinese restaurant, which is rather upscale, and BYOB. My problem is that none of them are very adventurous or chowhoundish eaters and they all eat meat and I don't, so what wine do I pair that will appease novice palettes? I always pair a nice white with my vegetarian chinese, but will that work for americanized carnivore chinese?
