It is fresh fig week in San Francisco. I am putting the diet aside and planning to feast on fresh figs with marscapone.
I'm thinking to make this a more decadant fig pig out, some wine is in order.
Any suggestions from the many wine savy hounds for the right wine. I'm thinking that $40 would be my upper limit, but am hoping for suggestions in a lower price bracket.
Various varieties of figs including mission, brown turkey, asiatic and kadota. There's a few other but I forget the names. So, some very sweet and some not so sweet.
