wine bistro

A few of us ate at Wine Bistro last night. I had heard that the place had improved and wanted to check it out. Perhaps the food has improved but that is faint praise indeed.
The food was passable to decent but the service was/is/and remains terrible.
I could go on and on about the various lapses.
When one of my companions asked to have the salad offered on the prix fixe menu - the request was treated with palpable disdain. My other companion wanted a glass of wine with her seared tuna but the server never came back after our initial drink request. Also, when my companions asked for glasses of water with lemon they were brought volvic bottles, which we promptly sent back.
My duck with mango sauce was pretty good but the sauce was beyond treacly.
The bottom line on my experiences with this place:
servers were absent, the maitre d was haughty, busser was unintelligible in English and the food is so-so.
