Windsor breakfast/Royal Oak short report

Apart from the ubiquitous Tim Horton's where [something] is always fresh I had great trouble finding a diner in Windsor area for a diner breakfast that's not fast food. Skippy's Restaurant saved the day. 954 University Ave W 519-252-3763. Their peameal bacon was superb when washed down with "HP Sauce" and good coffee. It's a different world over there and interesting people watching for that reason. I had not been to Windsor in 20 years and was struck by the huge # of oriental Caribbean and Indian eats. I remember a very strange Indian place located in the basement of a neighborhood house. I think I located it but it's closed (on Oullette (sp?) ). Skippy's is not worth a special trip of course, but it's got to be better than Tim Horton's and whatever [always fresh] whatevers it serves in its locations seemingly on every other block in Windsor. Across from Main Art Theater in Royal Oak MI (11 mile & Main-just north of 11 mile). Zumba's filled the bill for a pre Sound-of-Music-Singalong across the street. Concept (is this a chain??) appears to be replicate a sort of Mexican street stand in a building. THe food was OK and the "very hot" salsa is just what it says. Salsa bar included in price.
