Windows on the World

Carolyn Tillie | Sep 12, 200112:19 PM     19

I am in California. I always wanted to eat at Windows on the World. I thought of that this morning and of all the chefs, servers, and waitstaff that was serving breakfast there yesterday and I can't stop crying. Like the rest of America, I watched all the devastation in numbness yesterday. I went to the restaurant's website this morning and that is what set off my tears.

There is the devastating thought of all the loss of life yet it is through food and the memory of those in the restaurant that is getting to me.

My prayers are with all of you in New York.
