Where wimps end up eating

l.g.i. | Apr 1, 200312:46 PM

Ambitious me, foreseeing reinforcements coming home from work @ 6:30, joined by co-workers @ 7, yes ! a RARE chance to dine sans my (heavenly) Chowpup.
Visions of leisure, wine, and food, ergo a post yesterday afternoon, AOC recs. and I'm set.
Out the door 6:45, ambition drops, auto-pilot kicks in next thing I know I'm just down the street from home , sitting at a table at Globe (in Venice). Convenience is Queen.
They do a 4 course "farm menu" on Mondays 3 options each course except dessert, $29. Potato leek soup to start, great. Grilled asparagus w/ pine nuts next, excellent. Apple cider pork JUST misses but I respect the effort. Other options looked very good. I'm not a dessert person so skip it, but enjoy a glass of champ and a grenache.
Back home, in bed by 10.
Happy hour bar was packed, dining room empty.
I love this place.Highly recommend it.
