Willie's Crisp... Modified

I am very late to this dance but blame Amanda Hesser and her peach tart which is my go to fruit dessert all summer long. I've decided to break out and give Willie a try but I couldn't help but tweek it a tad. I reduced the sugar by 1/2 cup and inspired by Amanda, instead of using a stick of butter did a blend of half olive oil and half butter. In the oven so we shall see. I know I should have done test run that is recipe faithful so that I can compare. Oh well. Just an reason to make it again!

So my question is, have any of you done a variation on the theme?
