Wild Tuna

Wild Tuna is located in a shopping center in Chesterbrook, Wayne. I believe it opened a few months ago. The menu looked great online and the prices seemed quite reasonable, around $20 or less for most entrees. We had a nice, reasonabley priced cab. I started with the tuna trio ($11), Mediterranean style tuna, seared rare sesame tuna, tuna tartar with cucumber and melon. For a place named Wild Tuna I was very diappointed with the tuna as the seared tuna was flavorless and didn't seem exceedingly fresh and the Mediterranean style tuna was a glorified Bumble Bee creation. The tartar had a nice balance of coolness and sweet. I had the grilled Grilled Mahi Mahi entree with jasmine rice, spicy tomatillo salsa, bell pepper coulis entree which was decent but not enough spice for my taste and my husband had the crabmeat stuffed shrimp which were fine. We both ordered sides of lobster mashed potatoes ($5.50 each)and were very disappointed when they were served cold, not even room temp. I never send anything back but had my heart set on them. The waiter apologized and said, "I'll warm them right up." He was back with them faster than you can say microwave. They were now hot, but clearly nuked as the sides were slightly darkened. Oh well, you win some you lose some. We won't be returning anytime soon as there are comparable area restaurants that maintain a higher level of quality.
