Wild Artichoke Cafe - finally tried it!

phee | Nov 10, 2004 11:29 AM

I finally had some time to get out for lunch yesterday (I'm tiring of leftovers anyway!), and made it up to the Wild Artichoke Cafe. I had their signature sandwich, which is (and this is verbatim off the menu): grilled portobello mushroom, broiled sundried tomatoes and feta cheese, served on a bed of marinated artichoke hearts on a butter-grilled ciabatta. It came with a side of potato chips, and was $6.00. The sandwich was very tasty! One of my lunch companions had the spicy thai noodle salad, which she said was very good. This place is small, located on the corner of Adams and Idaho, next door to a liquor store. No sign, no website (they're not related to the Wild Artichoke in Yorba Linda), but they've only been open five weeks. Their hours are 7am - 4pm during the week (closed Mondays), and 9am - 3pm on weekends. I'm definitely going back. My next visit will be for breakfast, which is served until 11am. Give 'em a try!
