....from doing nothing more than attending now-erstwhile chef de cuisine Michael Lachowicz' great, fun demo at Foodstuffs in October. What a cool thing to find in the mailbox at the end of a dark, dizzly November day! Thing is that it's only good through the end of the year; is Roland Liccioni in the kitchen yet? Should I be gracious and take the BF with, and split the remaining check (keeping in mind that he's more a meat-and-potatoes or Italian guy), or should I go for lunch and spend the whole thing on myself, eating, drinking, reflecting, and taking notes to share? I'm leaning toward the latter. ;o)
