It seems like I am doomed to be forever behind on keeping up with all of Los Angeles' up and coming new restaurants. But I am glad to say I finally made it out to Koreatown to sample some of Chef Wes Leberher's fare at Whiz. Leberher made waves with his first effort, Beer Belly, and I am happy to report that he is taking those skills over to this corner sandwich shop that draws you in with hefty cheesesteaks and hoagies on Amoroso rolls but keeps you coming back with a burger that has some Bang for your Buck.
I would wager most off us would find the sight of Sriracha on out tables as common place, but the P Dub Burger at Whiz shows off a chef's prowess for the Asian Pantry and delivers an interesting retool of a classic barebones cheeseburger.
