Whitehouse Crawford in Walla Walla

While in Walla Walla last week to pick up my Whitman student daughter, I had dinner at the Whitehouse Crawford. Lovely restaurant, food, and service, but I have to particularly rave about the amuse bouche they gave us. It was two (tragically tiny) smears of pheasant liver pate on their wonderful homemade crackers. Since my daughter is a vegetarian, I got to eat both! It was incredible - silky and peppery, like the best chopped liver you've ever had. Now if I can just get the recipe...
