White Tower Hamburgers: Greenwich and 11th: Another Childhood Memory

VillageBrat | Nov 5, 201310:44 AM

Anyone else care to wax nostalgically about this defunct chain? My Dad would let me sit at the 5 stool counter White Tower next to the ESSO station where we bought gas, just up from my elementary school, P.S.41. Their rehydrated onions liberally tossed on the grill, along with that can of salt and pepper they shook over the patties gave 'em a flavor as unique as Prexy's was to their product, at the other end of Greenwich Ave.!!!
