white sugar substitute

Usually only make zucchini bread over the holidays. Felt like making some today. I knew we were low on white sugar, but I didn't check.

Partly through mixing ingredients I realized I didn't have enough white sugar so substituted brown for half of the white sugar. Has anyone ever done this before? It's baking now so I don't know the results.
