OHmigosh...I read all the great reviews about this place on this board, and so we went last night. Even though we were late getting reservations and couldn't be seated until 9:00, they made every effort to get us in sooner. There was a wedding party, so seats were scarce.
Ah, but the food! We both had the butter-poached lobster. Usually we have different things so we can taste, but we couldn't resist. In a pastry, with a risotto and a mild red cabbage with the most delectable sauce IN the world. Double awesome.
We must have chosen the wrong things for desserts, however. I felt the lavender creme brule was a bit much on the lavender side, and his Indian Pudding was only ok, though presented beautifully. But then, we might have been too full to justify them.
Thanks for the good lead, those of you who posted about The White Horse Tavern.
