everyone was so helpful to me when i was first learning to make fudge--hoping i can get some tips again.
i want to make white chocolate fudge, but really loved the texture of my previous simple recipe containing just chocolate, sugar and whole milk boiled freakishly high, then butter, vanilla, corn syrup added after removing from heat. can this be done with white chocolate? most recipes i've seen seem to involve just melting the ingredients together and then chilling it.
most of the white chocolate recipes i've seen also include marshmallows or cream cheese or sour cream. is it possible to use the same ingredients as for regular fudge, just different proportions?
these are the proportions i originally used:
4 ounces unsweetened chocolate
1 1/4 cups milk
3 cups sugar
2 tablespoons light corn syrup
1/8 teaspoon salt
4 tablespoons butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
what should i change to make it work with white chocolate? thanks for any help!
