Whiskey Infused Honey--Can I BWB This?

secondhandbookstore | May 16, 201903:49 PM     10

I have a whiskey-infused honey recipe (1 cup honey, 1 bay leaf, 1/4 cup whiskey simmered on the stove and then stored in the fridge) that our family loves a lot. My sister asked if I could make it as favors for a small wedding shower, but if I do so I'd really love to BWB it so that it would be shelf-stable.

Our extension office has a recipe for peach honey using peach scraps and honey that's processed in a BWB that I've made before, so I imagine a whiskey infused honey would be fine if I processed for the same length of time (10 mins), but I just wanted to check in and ask. I have done a fair amount of canning, but never "off recipe", and I'm not sure what could cause issues and what wouldn't. I did contact my local extension office, and they said that they cannot give advice regarding recipes that aren't in their recipe book.

I appreciate any feedback you all may have!
