My dad, who is a lifelong chowhound, tried whelk for the first time ever a few months ago and fell in love. He had it at blue ribbon in Park Slope, but I am on the prowl for another place to take him, ambience is not an issue, neither is price, just optimal deliciousness, maybe for father's day.
