These two pieces have been driving me crazy because I can’t find anything about them, but I’m hoping they’ll be less mysterious to one of the experts on here.
The first actually has a maker’s mark, but even though I can find a few others with the same marking for sale online, I can’t find anything about the manufacturer. It seems that there’s a cookware company called Bonjour, but as far as I can tell they mostly sell stainless cookware from China. Perhaps I’m not looking in the right places, but I’ve had no luck googling this one.
The second seems even more odd to me because of the condition in which I found it. I came across it at an antique market and it certainly looks a bit banged up, but it had that same coating on the outside that brand new copper cookware has. I cleaned most of it off before I thought to take a picture, but I tried to capture the tiny bit left on the edge so you can see what I mean. This one has no marks, and it’s difficult to even tell how thick it is because the edge is rounded- not rolled, just rounded smooth. It’s heavy though, and I’m pretty positive that it’s thicker than a Balmalu, but perhaps just a hair thinner than the Bonjour.
I don’t know why I’m so curious about the origins of these two, but I’d love to know more about them.
