Im on the cusp of booking (or not booking!) a short trip to western Sicily and have seen a few reports here but info is sort of scanty - wondering about any great places between say Trapani and Agrigento - for example I have seen mixed reports on slowfood rec Agriturismo Vultaggio - is the food there worthy? Is the restaurant at the Museo del Sale worth a visit? And what about the places in Trapani, a number look good, but which one (or two) would you choose on a visit? Sciaccia? What about Marsala, are any of the winery visits particularly good, or Mazara? After a lot of work Im still quite up in the air about the strategy for this trip. We are mainly cultural tourists and walkers, so beaches, spas etc are not on the agenda but we are not averse to a comfortable and attractive place to sleep.

Finally, we will likely wind up in Palermo - any recent experiences there worth sharing?
