RE: Western Kentucky BBQ Suggestions

From Boston and finding myself just north of Nashville, in Glasgow, Bowling Green, and Hopkinsville, Kentucky on business, I've seized the opportunity to sample the local 'Q. A few notes on my travels:

Glasgow -
Big Moose's BBQ & Smokehouse
525 W Main St., Glasgow, KY 42141
Decor a little cutesy, but but serious 'Q. For lunch had the pulled pork sandwich, crunchy sweet potatos and vinegar slaw and left happy as did my fellow diners.

Bowling Green-
The Split Tree Barbeque
Feh! (We all make mistakes)

I will try to recover tonight at the Bar-B-Que Inn, 124 Russelville Rd. which credible locals have praised.

Ed's Barbeque
5521 Clarksville Rd. (RT.79)
Off the beaten track on 79 west of Bowling Green. Roadside take-out with only one table. Not the best 'Q by a long shot, but down home without a whiff of pretense.

The Woodshed Pit Bar-B-Que
1821 West 7th St.
A genuine 'meat and threes' experience. Great food, atmosphere, and folks. By all means try the Burgoo. Yeah I know 'W' stopped in when he was campaigning for the nomination, but don't let that dissuade you.

I will be back in other areas of KY throughout the summer, so all 'Q destination suggestions are welcome.
