Westchester (Lower) -- Need a fresh restaurant idea

ASM_NY | Sep 19, 2005 01:53 PM

It's my husband's birthday on Friday, and I'm hopelessly behind on planning something. Looking for a fresh new restaurant idea. Something with good, interesting food that we might have a prayer of getting into. Right this minute I'm thinking maybe Scarborough Faire in Bronxville, but we've been before, and I was hoping for something new. Thoughts?

We have been to the following sufficiently festive restaurants in the area:

Blu (good, been many times)

Buffet de la Gare (lovely, been several times)

Blue Hill/Stone Barns (amazing -- not a prayer of getting in.

Cafe Meze (v. good, been a couple of times)

Coromandel (v. good Indian, not for husband's bday though)

Crabtree's Kittle House (good, not worth the trip for us)

Harvest-on-Hudson (v. good, pretty, been many times)

Equus (overpriced and stuffy -- never again)

Iron Horse Grill (good, but been there)

Underhill's Crossing (good appetizers, but were underwhelmed by entrees)

Zuppa (v. good, but have been recently)
