Westchester dinner -- great food, not outrageous $$

I'm taking my mom for a birthday dinner in Westchester this coming Sunday, and I'm looking for a great place.

Let me put it this way...if I had a bit more money, Blue Hill at Stone Barns would be the absolute perfect place (and I think we're actually going to go there for a tour in the afternoon). However, $68 per person (plus drinks) is a bit steep.

If you had to pick a place that was realy great in Westchester, but more in the $40-$50 per person range, where would it be? She loves "new american" kind of cuisine (or possibly italian if it's very good), and an emphasis on fresh, locally grown ingredients would be great (but not essential).
