I had one of the worst burgers at this place last night. The meat was flavorless, and devoid of seasoning (salt people, it's a necessity). There was far too much orange cheddar, that was far too gooey to be enjoyable...really threw the texture of the burger off, and while this is more a personal preference, they topped the burger with sweet pickles that had a far more pronounced flavor profile than anything else in the burger, and I don't care for sweet pickles....dill for life....it was a pickle burger. The circa 1992 onion strings that topped this mess were greasy, and also devoid of any seasoning whatsoever, and only tasted of fryer oil. Lastly it was served on a butter soaked bun, so the entire thing was covered in oil, top and bottom glistening and wet with oil...so gross. Served alongside some pretty uninspired fries, definitely a frozen product, yet skin on to make it look fancy. It really amused me that they had a long table, seated on one side facing the open kitchen...I assume so you can watch in awe as the cooks empty bags of Sysco fries into the fryolater, the theatre of an open kitchen!

The whole thing came off as overpriced pub grub. The burgers are $13, and they upcharge $2 for add-ons, so avocado for example was two dollars more, making my wife's burger $15, and this was NOT a $15 burger experience. The margherita pizza was also lame (the boy didn't touch it), using dry aged mozz (which I don't have a giant problem with, as my boy likes it), which is not really what a margherita pizza should have, but whatevs...the real sin was the domestic parmesan cheese....it was hard little sticks of some pretty off tasting parm, and my little guy is kind of a stickler for the real stuff (I know, I'm spoiling him, but go big or go home), and no basil to speak of...not sure the "chef" knows what a margherita pizza is supposed to be, but it's a pretty specific thing.

I'd advise CH'rs to go elsewhere for their pizza/burger and a beer fix, this place just wasn't worth it.
