West Bank Latino food

We still like Taqueria Jalisco best of any Mexican restaurant in the NO area -- not as upscale as the food at Taqueros (past and future), but very tasty, authentic, and about 1/4 of the price. So, for anyone who recently went looking for this place at the old location and found a nail salon, they have moved into a bigger space with slightly more ambience, just across the street. The restaurant is still on Terry Parkway at Daniels, but now in the same strip mall with the Salvation Army store and the Sav-a-Lot -- it's in the corner where the wine store used to be.

Also, there are a couple of new Latino restaurants on the West Bank, both on LaPalco west of Manhattan. One is Mi Rancho, with a very nice coffee shop ambience (former location of Armand's and other cafes) and the other is a combination grocery and cafe in the strip mall just behind Mi Rancho, called Latinos something or other. Both are more Central American than Mexican.
