With such a varied and diversified menu drawing us to try their range of authentic, Cantonese home-style offerings. None of our five dishes we ordered tonight were repetition of our previous visit.
The following are our mouth-watering picks:
- Traditional, house special, salt-baked free range chicken.
- Sweet & Sour Pork with fresh pineapple
- Stirred fry flowering chives with squid & fermented shrimp paste
- Stirred fry Choi-Sum with sliced beef
- Stirred fry sliced lotus root, house cured salted pork and
fermented red bean curd.
Wow! This meal was one huge ' umami taste-bomb galore '! Exotic seasoning and condiments, with vivid and complex taste profile, like the fermented shrimp paste and bean curd helped to create some really lip-smacking delicacies. All stirred fry dishes were the result of faultless wok-hay execution. Smokey, aromatic, caramelization spread through all major protein ingredients!
Non-stirred fry dishes like the salt-baked chicken and Sweet & Sour pork were equally flavourful and well prepared!
Another great, tasty and extremely well-priced meal under my belt!.......and I have only scratched the surface of this local-gem culinary trove!
