Weird (minor, but weird) at Eton on Vanderbilt

Amy Mintzer | Jul 27, 2011 07:45 PM

So, I finally picked up some food from Eton this evening, having been put off in the past by the insistence on the 15-minute wait time (since "all food is cooked to order." Really? The pulled pork?). Ordered dumplings and the Beef Short Rib entree. The menu board says, "All Entrees come with rice and veggies." So I expected rice and veggies. When I got home and opened the container, it was rice and MACARONI SALAD. Like you get from a supermarket.

I actually called up and asked if this was normal or some weird fluke, a prankster in the kitchen or something. Not a fluke.

Anyone else find this totally weird?

The short rib, I'll say, was excellent if very fatty.
