Janet and I moseyed into Wegmans last night, late (9pm) after having to be in Ashburn on other business. Was planning to hit the Asian bar, but noticed they were offering a boneless ribeye with two sides for $14.99. Being basically a cheapo, how could I pass it up? Such a deal! It was pretty good; not Peter Luger of course, supermarket grade meat but pretty good. I had asparagus and tiny baked potatoes as my sides, and threw in a pear and provolone salad as well ($2.99). The steak was tender and flavorful, and grilled properly. I'd say about 10 oz., ie plenty to eat. It had of course been sitting in the hot tray for a while, which was too bad for me, but it was 9pm after all and we were clearly at the tail end of dinner. Of course I had to eat it upstairs with plastic cutlery, but.....
Among the other choices was a crusted baked salmon for, I think, 12.99.
This place continues to amaze me.
