Weeknight holiday/December ideas

bblonde | Nov 8, 201612:55 PM     9

So I'm not looking for an actual holiday meal. Rather, what are some seasonal dishes that are especially festive, yet not too large portion size/too time consuming/too rich to be eaten on a weeknight? I'm trying to look through my "to try" catalogue of dishes to fill out ideas for December already. For example, food with cranberry, rosemary, sage, pecans, walnuts, butter sauce, scallops, cheeses, chestnuts, pomegranate arils, etc. all seem more "festive" than just generic wintery food. So if you have any festive weeknight food ideas, please do send them my way!
