Weekly Menu Plans – August 2017

MidwesternerTT | Jul 25, 2017 08:43 AM

Let’s use this thread to share concise weekly dinner menus for each week in August. Will you travel? Are you planning to fill your plates (and maybe your freezer) with prime summer produce? Or looking at meals for those first busy weeks of school – already!? What’s planned from the COTM (Cookbook of the Month – THE BARBECUE! BIBLE by Steve Raichlen), DOTM (Dish of the Month), or the Summer quarterly baking book (Dorie’s Cookies, by Dorie Greenspan)?

Planning meals ahead helps you take some small measure towards calm in an excitement-filled world. (Calendar quote “I used to call it tension but I feel much better now that I call it excitement.” – Madeleine Costigan)

You may choose to report actuals for the prior week to share ideas with others and as your own reality-check for next week’s plans. We all know plans change, so no worries if something drops off your list or gets added.

It's helpful if you can include your location and how many people you are feeding. Links to recipes are always appreciated, and sources help.

The July discussion is still available for reporting the last week and follow-ups.
