Weekly Menu Planning – June 2018

Let’s use this thread to share concise weekly dinner menus for each week in June. Will you be cooking with the Cookbook of the Month (COTM) crowd from ZAHAV: A WORLD OF ISRAELI COOKING, by Michael Solomonov and Steve Cook? Or will you be inspired by the selected Dish of the Month (DOTM) either causa limeña or sformato? Will you try baking something from the quarterly (Summer) Baking COTM: SWEET, by Yotam Ottolenghi and Helen Goh?

We all know plans can change, so it’s fine (practically expected) when your week gets rearranged from your posted plan. Having meals planned saves electricity – less 5 PM staring at the open fridge or freezer, trying to figure out what to make. And with June’s hot weather in the northern hemisphere, your dinner “cooking” may be assembling cold components. You may choose to report actuals for the prior week to share ideas with others. It's helpful if you can include your location and how many people you are feeding. Links to recipes are always appreciated, and sources help.
