Friday evening we stopped in at Bozo's around 8:30 or a little later. They were hopping. But we were seated fairly fast and the service was good enough for a full place. I had the 1/2 doz fried oysters and they were perfection!
Saturday brunch at Commander's was wonderful. The Las Vegas salad was so delicious. The filet was cooked perfect and the creme brulet was melt in your mouth good. Service was fit for a king and queen. I loved going through the kitchen to be seated.
Saturday evening we had dinner reservations for 9:00 at Pascal's Manale. We weren't seated until after 9:30. This place was buzzing, you could hardly find an inch of floor space to stand at 9:00. We were finally seated and the dining room was packed and waiters were very busy. Once our waiter acknowledged us, the service was great. The food was to die for! Their remoulade sauce was so wonderful. The bbq shrimp were fabulous also. It was well worth the wait!! I think Pascal's food was actually better than Commander's.
This morning we stopped at Maurice Bakery in Metairie to get a box of yummies for the road. They have wonderful doughnuts and pastries. We were still so full from Saturday, we passed right by Mike Anderson's in Baton Rouge and kept going. It may be days before the heartburn fades.........
