Weekend before Mardi Gras restaurant recommendations

bblonde | Jan 26, 201605:44 PM     6

My husband and I will be in NOLA for a short trip from late Friday evening February 5 to late evening February 7, the weekend before Mardi Gras. On our last trip to New Orleans we had several good food experiences--Cochon, Coquette, and Antoine's for a jazz brunch. I know it's late (only 10 days away!) and it's a busy time, but I was hoping to get a couple more suggestions for our upcoming trip. I figure it's too late to make reservations for the big leagues, but any ideas on a less obvious jazz brunch that might still have reservations available? Also any late night eats for the Friday when we arrive? I figure we'll be hitting the bars after that and would like some food first. Any other recommendations for Mardi Gras time? Thanks!
