Dearest chowhounds of Los Angeles and the rest of Southern California,
While you're out enjoying your weekend of unbeatable late-summer sunshine and all the great food in the southland, there's one small errand that we'd like you to not forget...
Sign up to come to the greatest celebration in chowhoundom, the Chowing with the Hounds picnic in San Francisco. The remaining spots are disappearing, and after registration closes on Monday, September 27th, they'll be gone one way or another. In previous years we've always been blessed with the presence of hounds from the Los Angeles board, and we'd love this year to be the same. Last year we were treated to the excellent pastrami from Langer's, which earned Sp00nybard a prize... What's it going to be this year?
Come join us on October 9th in lovely Golden Gate Park for a feast of great food, fine wines and beers, a tasting of honeys from around the world, a pub-style trivia game, delicious prizes, and much, much more. Rumor has it, we may even get to hear Jim Leff play the "Chowhound Theme Song" on trombone. Who even knew there was a Chowhound theme song?!
Don't miss this chance to meet the people behind the posts, make new friends, or catch up with old ones.
