Enjoying a 2 night stay at the Peninsula for hubby's birthday, we are off to Spago on Saturday for the tasting menu, I have read mixed recs here but have never been, will probably get the wine pairings - is that the best plan? Seems to me with varied courses it would be to hard to match 1 red varietal & 1 white varietal....
We are doing brunch/lunch at the hotel (The Belvedere) on Saturday - truffled mac & cheese all hype? how is the house smoked salmon?
I need a rec for late lunch (say 1 or so) between OC & BH, preferably not too spendy but not too casual that will keep us mostly sated until the Dodger game at 7:40.
