Looking for a place for two foodies celebrating our first anniversary to get away for a 3-day weekend on Labor Day.
We were eyeing going to Alinea in Chicago, but didn't time the reservation process correctly so looks like that won't happen. Looking for a memorable experience somewhere. Thinking Michelin-star type dinner, but ideally something tucked away if possible. We had a great experience at Meadowood in Napa a few years ago, so chasing that similar experience, I think.
Washington Inn is a potential, but would like something more contemporary. Any hidden gems we're missing in Appalachia? Just moved to Baltimore from Durham NC, so don't know what and have been pretty disappointed in Baltimore's food scene so far outside of the seafood.
