Wondering if anyone has any advice. I found this thread, http://www.chowhound.com/topics/432805 and will check those out. However my fiancee and I have been to 4-5 weddings this summer already, and have been extremely underwhelmed by the plated dinners. We are getting married in Frankfort, IL at http://www.cdandme.com. It's kind of a blend between indoors and outdoors and we were thinking it would be fun to leverage that in our catering choices. Something unique, that could take advantage of the outdoors. I'm really trying to avoid plated chicken or beef, no matter how good. my intials thoughts were having something grilled/roasted on site. anyhow, if you've seen something unique at an outdoor wedding, or know a creative caterer that would have good suggestions, let me know, thanks!
