I am looking for an elegant, classy non-Italian wedding venue for 130 person party in the winter months in the evening. I come from a Russian family, and we are not into the hot buffets, pasta and carving stations.
I really liked the Manor in West Orange (and I saw previous posts for their buffet), but I would like to hear opinions on the food for a banquet. Their quote fits into our total food budget (18,000 including service and tax) My fiance and I are not looking for innovative quisine, just great tasting one that won't leave you hungry. Has anyone attended a wedding reception there, opinion, pluses and negatives? How does it look in the evening when you can't really see the gardens vs in the daytime? Any comments on the space (one room vs. another)would be appreciated. What about the Brownstone in Patterson , or Pleasantdale Chateau in West Orange?
