Hi Chowhounds,
I've read all the previous postings on wedding cakes, and I just wanted to probe for a few more suggestions. I've tasted cakes at 6 bakeries (including Prolific Oven, Torino, Nancy's Fancies, and La Nouvelle Patisserie) and have been turned off by either quality or price. Incidentally, I really liked my Katrina Rozelle tasting but I've read so many unhappy posts regarding her service that I don't think I'll go with her. The wedding will take place this summer in the Peninsula, but I'm open to bakeries all over the Bay Area! $4/slice is the most I'd like to spend for a simply decorated buttercream cake with fresh flowers (prob. 3 or 4 tiers).

I'll happily take any suggestions! Thanks.
