Three of us went to the Wheeling location of the Weber Grill Saturday. On an earlier trip, I had a wonderful barbecued Asian duck, with crispy skin and hoison sauce. To my horror, it's no longer on the menu.

We shared the appetizer platter which had a mess o' fried onion rings which were pretty good and enough to take home for subsequent meals, two skewers each of steak, chicken and shrimp. Skip this and just get the o-rings.

Peggy had pork chops - three of them, with excellent southwestern spicing. She was able to finish one and a half chops. Paul ordered a steak special, a NY strip with garlic crust. Since he orders these things only wounded, I chose not to sample. he assures me it was wonderful and he polished it off without assistance, even though it was probably 16 ounces and none of it from visible fat. I had lemon pepper chicken. The 3 pounded chicken brest slices were fine tasting and you supply the quantity of lemon you want with the grilled halves they bring you. Since I couldn't taste any pepper, I would argue for more of it.

We shared grilled asparagus and grilled green beans with garlic and ginger. Both of these sides were superb.

No room for dessert. Wines are very reasonably priced. The service, while pleasant, could stand improvement. It was busy, but there were a few empty tables around. Overall, a nice casual place for hearty grilled foods. Get the grilled veggies. On my prior visit, I also had their signature turkey barley soup. It's hearty enough, but not a great taste treat. Try another if you want soup.

Our waiter said they company was planning a great expansion of these places based on their success.
