New Wave Miami

ez | Sep 25, 2005 12:55 AM

Tonight I found a bright star in the culinary future of Miami at Madiba (1766 bay road, MB). This location has been transformed into a “shebeen” (South African social hall). With cool white walls, venetian blinds and teak furniture. The experience was very comforting, authentic and elevating. My satisfaction was an amalgam of light and space, texture and spice. And, oh yea, VIBE! A new atmosphere has arrived in Miami. A world conscious South African vibe via Nuevo York. Every turn of the chef's homey dishes was a surprise. Try it. You'll like it. You'll want to stay awhile. Soon you won't be able to get a table.
