I'm going to be in Atlanta for one night (well, two, but someone else is picking the dinner for the other night and I trust her judgment). Research on here and elsewhere has guided me toward these four (nobody on here seems to like Rathbun's, but I've heard good things elsewhere). I'm looking for food that I couldn't get outside of the region--local ingredients, "new Southern," that sort of thing.
I don't know if there's any Atlanta/Savannah crossover of chowhounds here but something akin to Elizabeth's on 37th (where I was guided by Savannah chowhounds, thank you!) would be what I'm after, though it doesn't have to be upscale to hit the spot.
What say you?
