Water and Wall in Arlington - Report

Steve | Oct 14, 201609:54 AM     1

Chef Tim Ma must be spending most of his time at the new Kyirisan in DC, or maybe at his sandwich shop in Vienna. Water and Wall in Arlington seems to have gone pretty far downhill.

We had three dishes, and only one was barely acceptable. A fish filet was pretty boring except that it did come with three tiny but very delicious fig halves. The other ingredients provided no excitement. The fish was served with a citrus broth poured over it. This dish paled in comparison to a recent meal at Black Salt with a somewhat similar but decidedly more robust fish with razor clams, cockles, and a clam broth.

The low points were a gummy taro gnocchi and a short rib presumably with kimchi, but it just came out salty.
