Watch the new name changes when dining in Yosemite

glbtrtr | Jan 14, 201610:51 PM     1

Concessioners have changed and the old one took the long standing Yosemite names with them:

Current names at Yosemite National Park and changes that the National Park Service announced Thursday.

The Ahwahnee Hotel is gone and now gets called The Majestic Yosemite Hotel. One assumes the food will now taste as bad as the new name, smashing a long and beloved tradition at the magnificent Ahwanhnee Dining Room. New concessionaire Aramark is better known for pre-prepared nursing home food and political ties to the current federal administration's anti-obestiry campaign. (#$$@#%%%!!!) Breaks my heart.

Curry Village will become Half Dome Village.
The Badger Pass Ski Area is renamed the Yosemite Ski and Snowboard Area.
The Wawona Hotel becomes Big Trees Lodge.
Yosemite Lodge at the Falls is changed to Yosemite Valley Lodge.
