Lets just say that the only good thing was that they comped our meal.
Place was full when we arrived. Manager sat us. We noticed only 2 waiters. As we looked at the menu, we overheard the next table being told- seemingly long after they ordered- that the roast chicken ( which everyone with a kid orders- they had one, we had two)would be a 30 minute wait. My youngest switched her order to a Chicken Milanese.
Then we heard the waitress go back to the table and tell them that they could have roast chicken- asked my daughter if she wanted to switch and she said that she was fine with what she had ordered.
45 minutes later, we asked where our order was- and she said that they were out of what my daughter had switched to and it would be 3 minutes for the roast chicken. We asked her to bring out whatever was ready. My Jalea was so dried out and cold, it had obviously been sitting out for a long time. I called her over to show her and to tell her that I could not eat it- she agreed and took it away. She came back to tell us that it would be 30 minutes not three minutes for the chicken.
At that point, we asked for the manager. She said that the manager had left. We said that we had to leave to get our daughter some food since we had been waiting over an hour. She volunteered to comp the meal.
My kids felt badly for her- but I explained that it was up to her to tell us much earlier if they had a problem completing our order. They must have had a lot of delivery orders because they had lots of chicken on the rotisserie and other tables were eating it.
This is not the first time that we have experienced meltdowns at Coco Roco, but never anything like this- and I can't imagine that a restaurant could not have a manager on a busy Sunday night...
