What's the deal with Washington Park? I thought this place served pretty high-end cuisine. I went there Friday night and it was packed- even the food and wine guy from Queer Eye was there. After waiting at the bar for 30 minutes (I reserved a month ago), we were finally seated. I was ready to excuse the lousy service until my lobster appetizer arrived newly defrosted amd thoroughly bland. As for the rest of the food, it was mediocre and completely overpriced. Same goes for the wine list. Any place that practically prohibits you from spending less than $80 for a decent bottle of wine had better deliver. these are Danube prices! I'd rather go even to Tocqueville or Eleven Madison any day. Anybody else have a similar experience or was I just there on a bad night?
