Almost 30 years ago, my parents visited Paris, where they ate souffle glace almost every day of their vacation. My mom described it as warm, almost hot- puffy icecream. She had confirmed with a restaurant in NYC that it is made with real icecream, but they told her that they cannot make it! However, whenever I have done a search online for souffle glace (what it was called in Paris), all I come up with is parfait (cold mousse made with cream). To complicate matters, my mom has to start a doctor's recommended diet soon for health reasons, and she really wants a last hoorah...if you know of a place in NYC that makes it, or a way to make it at home (I doubt it, but one never knows), I would be very thankful!
