I always wanted to try...

If you're like me, you've probably got a list of places (many of which never get mentioned here) that you've driven by over the years or heard about, yet never got around to trying. In some cases (Marconi's comes to mind), it's too late - they're gone before you get around to it.

So how about it, Hounds? What's on your "I always wondered about that place..." list? And of course, if anybody reading these posts can provide a capsule review, that would also be cool.

examples on my list:

The Peppermill - York road just north of 695

Gaudy-looking Chinese (don't know the name - looks to be a stereotypical "Americanized" Chinese place, crica 1960's) on the south side of Liberty Road, a couple blocks outside the Beltway. It's been there forever, so one assumes they're pleasing *somebody*

Surf Club on Kenilworth, just before it merges into 295 (Cheverley? Riverdale?) I have no idea if this is a restaurant, bar, nightclub, strip joint, or ???? - just always wondered about it.

Tio Pepe, Obrycki's, Women's Industrial Exchange, The Prime Rib, Brass Elephant, etc. - Baltimore landmarks that I've never gotten around to visiting.
