Spanking new place right beside Kingyo, not even 2 weeks old. Brightly lit, clean, cool chopstick holders, about 8 tables plus a couple at the counter. Mercifully mellow music, unlike the raging techno we had at Garlic Guu last week. Friendly, attentive service (we were the only ones in there).
Onto the food. The tuna tataki was served on a huge bed of greens. The yuzu sauce was a bit strong, but it was a nice change from the usual ponzu. Great value too since it's about the same price as other places and you get a few more slices of the tasty tuna. Still, it's hard not to compare it to Garlic Guu which ups Wanoma with the added garlic chips.
Grilled items--more like cooked on an iron plate--was next. Settled on grilled pork with chili sauce. The salt version would've been equally good. Just wish the strands of pork could've been cut. It also came with a few green onions. Tasty dish.
Filled the belly with kimchi fried rice. OK. Best parts were the crunchy bits at the bottom of the pan.
Bill without tip was $22. Will definitely return to try other items. The server said they hope to get a liquor license in a couple of months.
